A brief biography of Brent Schneider, a Spokane based web technologist since 1995.

Brent Schnieder

I have over eleven years experience in web design, project leadership, brand management, and developing online marketing strategies across web and email technologies. Designed for house hold names such as; STCU, City of Spokane, NextIT, Make-a-wish, Second Harvest Food Bank, STA, and EWU.

Early on in my career I moved from print to the web world, during that transition I had the pleasure to work under a hand-full of great mentors who helped me define and execute strategies for ongoing success. The experience of lifelong learning has made me a firm believer in web standards and a proponent for open source web solutions.

I’ve applied brand management across hundreds of sites, successfully solving online business challenges. In my current position of Manager of Web Development for Eastern Washington University, I am lucky to be surrounded by a fantastic team with sincere talents.

After the burst I launched a small side business, Artful Persuasion.net. It serves to this day as my creative outlet highlighting my passion of applying visual design needs with scalable back-end web technology, specifically targeting local entrepreneurs and small business clients.

Goals to accomplish within the five years; running for the 2011 Board of Directors at STCU, further strengthening Organizational Leadership, and while I hold a degree in Visual Communication it is my desire to earn a masters in Computer Science.

I believe it is important to balance my life outside of technology with art, skiing, photography, cooking, traveling, wine, and enjoying time with friends who also call the Pacific Northwest home. Other areas of interest, I founded a German speaking group called, Spokane Stammtisch in 09. We meet annually at different restaurant locations as a way to help support our local economy while practicing German.
